Funko Bat-Family DC BOMBSHELLS!

A Variety of Bat-Family Products: Dorbz, POP, and Rock Candy - Funko 2017-18

The amount of DC Bombshells merchandise that has come out over the past year has been a little overwhelming. The majority of these products have been from Funko.  They have released tons of products from their Pop, Dorbz, and Rock Candy lines (Plus the first Vynl figures have been solicited and I'm sure Mystery Minis and Pint Size Heroes will come eventually). With all that glorious product hitting the shelves, I defaulted to my standard cost-saving methods and limited myself to only Bat-Family characters. But as you'll see in this post, that still left me with a ton of characters to collect. When the Bombshells designs first appeared five years ago I wasn't instantly sold (I have hangups over the historical objectification of pinup girls vs their cool modern reinvention). But after about three years I caved and bought my first DC Bombshells item (a Harley keychain from Elephant Gun). Well then the dam broke and I have almost 30 pieces (with more on the way). Let's check out the current roster below!

POISON IVY Pop!

POISON IVY Dorbz

I was a little disappointed by the glowing feature on this figure. Instead of being cast in a glowing plastic, it appears as is she is misted in a glowing paint. Under a normal light she barely glows at all. These pics are taken with a black light. These aren't grainy pics and she does not have a sandpaper texture. This is what I mean when I say "misted in a glowing paint" - it's very uneven coverage. (Note: only her green skin glows, the pink flower is just flat paint reacting to the black light).

Here is Poison Ivy with her comic version Dorbz.

POISON IVY Rock Candy

From Left to Right: Pop!, Rock Candy, DC Collectibles, Dorbz, Lil Bombshells.

HARLEY QUINN Pop!

Time for some Group and Comparison Pics!

Here are all my Rock Candy ladies together. I love this lineup. I hope we see a Catwoman someday.

I know these aren't Funko, but in the time since I took these group photos, Cryptozooic released keychain versions of their Lil Bombshells line. They look great. I found mine in the checkout line at Target.

Cheers!

  1. I really love those Rock Candy Bombshells and that glow in the dark Poison Ivy Dorbz figure. I have a few Rock Candy figures (the two standard Batgirls, Enchantress, and Elvira) but all of the Bombshells action figures and maybe 9 or 10 of the statues. Have you read the comic series? It is really, really good.
