Calling this group the "Mazinger Angels" is a bit of a misnomer. All four of these characters were introduced individually throughout different iterations of the Mazinger series throughout the early 1970s. Then in 2004, they were brought together in a new manga series called Mazinger Angels (a spoof on Charlie's Angels), but with very different color schemes, while these figures here show their original colors. I became obsessed with Go Nagai's female mecha about 15 years now when a friend was reminiscing about his favorite childhood cartoon in the Philippines and how these big female robots would launch their breasts like missiles. I had to Google it out of morbid curiosity and quickly got swept into the world of Mazinger. The series is notable for introducing female mecha to the world of anime and manga. But it's also notorious for the Oppai Missile System, where these characters literally have weaponized breasts. It's ridiculous and weird, but I overlook it for the historical context of these awesome bots.
Similar to the popular Eaglemoss figurines, these figures come in small boxes with a collector magazine.
The magazines are comic-sized (as opposed to the magazine-size Eaglemoss publications). They are mostly monochromatic inside with cool schematics that detail the individual robot's powers, manga pages, and 3D renderings of the figurine itself. Of course they are written in Italian and Japanese.

These characters are intended to be huge. Their human pilots typically reside in a tiny vehicle on the top of the robot's head. In Venus' case, there is a spaceship parked in her hair. The blue thing on her forehead is the windshield and the tailfins stick out the back. I have some awesome high-end action figures of these characters (that i will definitely review some day) and they have pilot ships you can remove.
The pilot of Venus Alpha in both the 1970s Great Mazinger Anime and Manga as well as the 2004 Mazinger Angels Series is Jun Hono

Dianan A - Diana A - ダイアナンA
The pilot of Dianan A in the 1970s Mazinger Z Anime was Sayaka Yumi (she's the one in pink above with Afrodite A. In the anime series, Afrodite A was destroyed and Dianan A was the second mecha piloted by Sayaka Yumi. (Dianan A was not represented at all in the original Manga). When all four female mecha were brought back for the 2004 Mazinger Angels Series, they borrowed the character Hikaru Makiba from Grendizer to pilot Dianan A.

In the 1970s Mazinger Z Anime and Manga, Minerva X did not have a pilot at all. In true Smurfette fashion, she was actually created by the bad guys to infiltrate and thwart Mazinger's crew. Because of this, she was actually self-controlled because of an advanced AI. When all four female mecha were brought together for the 2004 Mazinger Angels Series, they borrowed another Grendizer character, Maria Fleed, to pilot Minerva X.
