My annual exercise in procrastination is upon us. At this point I'm only four years behind in my Year-End-Reviews, but I can't deny that I love taking this look back even moreso because of the buffer of a few years. I have this habit where I always deem my most recent purchase as "my favorite." So if I were posting a 2024 review right now, I don't think I could be objective in my appreciation. But looking back at 2021, the true gems pop out easily. It was a really interesting year. People were getting used to pandemic commerce. Supply lines were improving. And several media properties were being merchandised after months of uncertainty and hesitation. Plus several of my most-wanted figures were produced this year (specifically from Marvel Legends). Also, the 3.75" video game lines were still in full swing, but winding down. (They were basically nonexistent a year later). I also moved house in 2021 and was a little distracted from how great the toy hauls were. Let's take a reminiscent trip back to 2021 below!

As usual, I'll start it off with
Hasbro's Marvel Legends
2021 was the most exciting year for Marvel Legends for me. I have certain classic characters from my 80's and 90's childhood years that were long overdue for modern figures. This year gave us awesome figures of Firestar, Meggan, White Queen, Callisto, and Tigra, among others. Plus okay figures of Shadowcat and Domino. Also newer iconic characters like Rescue, Ironheart, and Captain Carter were released.
Marvel Products (other)
DST Marvel Select, Marvel Gallery, and Mini-Mates; Hasbro Marvel Legends Retro, Titan Hero Series, and Spidey and His amazing Friends; Disney Toy Box; Etc.
McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse
2021 was the second year of the DC Multiverse line from McFarlane Toys.
It seemed like the focus was going to be primarily cinematic properties, but the awesome 3 Jokers Batgirl and Batwoman Beyond were a hint of the great things yet to come.
Funko Pop
2021 saw the great "Retro Toys" theme within the Funko Pop line established. As someone who focuses their Pop purchases primarily on 80s properties, this provided so much great merchandise.
Masters of the Universe by Mattel
Origins, Masterverse, Netflix Animated, Eternia Minis, and WWE Masters.
Hasbro's Power Rangers
Power Rangers Lightning Collection and 12" Series.
Super7 ReAction
I feel like the ReAction line in 2021 made massive improvements in face sculpts and likenesses. In comparison to previous licenses like MOTU, these are lightyears ahead.
Hasbro's Star Wars
Black Series 6", Disney Toy Box, and Mission Fleet.
Hasbro's Transformers
War for Cybertron: Kingdom, Buzzworthy Bumblebee, Generations Select, Masterpiece, R.E.D., Crossover Series, and a 3rd Party figure.
G.I.Joe Classified by Hasbro
2021 was the second year of the 6" G.I.Joe Classified line which added a few more characters as well as releasing movie product for Snake-Eyes Origins.
Jurassic Park by Mattel
2021 saw the launch of the 6" Legacy line as well as 3.75" figures in the Camp Cretaceous line.
Video Game Lines
Roblox from Jazwares; Fortnite from Jazwares; Halo from Jazwares; Nintendo from Jakks Pacific; Sonic from Jakks Pacific; Witcher from McFarlane; Mirrorverse from McFarlane, Minecraft from Mattel, etc.
