The Flash 3.75" - SUPERGIRL!

The Flash (Movie) - 3.75" Action Figures - Supergirl - Spin Master Toys 2023

Between the new Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow movie coming next year and the seeming demise of the Spin Master DC toylines, I figured it was about time to finally post this figure. Back in 2023 when she was released, I had a very frustrating time with this Supergirl figure. Her facepaint apps were inconsistent at best, and absolutely horrendous most of the time. I ended up purchasing several before getting a decent one. I love the Sasha Calle version of Supergirl from The Flash (2023). She reminds me of Dana Dearden or Elna Kent but with a tough persona all her own. I was excited to see her get so much merchandising from a (presumably) one-and-done character. Especially from a company like Spin Master who seems to greatly under-utilize their DC license and miss opportunities to product great toys. It's amazing that this figure exists before a Gal Gadot Wonder Woman, Margot Robbie Harley, or a Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman. But I'm glad she does. Let's check out Supergirl below!

Spin Master has been an unpredictable company when it come to their DC Cinematic properties. They gave us figures for The Batman (2022), Black Adam (2022), The Flash (2023), Blue Beetle (2023), Aquaman 2 (2023), and then more recent figures for the Batman movies 1989-97. That may seem like a decent amount, but they basically skipped Birds of Prey (2020), Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021), The Suicide Squad (2021), Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023), and Joker: Folie à Deux (2024). At the very least I expected them to product a cinematic Harley Quinn or Wonder Woman figure. If it's true that they have lost the DC license, I would expect it's because they missed so many opportunities.

Supergirl comes with a heat vision power accessory and a cluster of Kryptonite crystals.

Supergirl was also released in a windowless 5-Pack (I believe this was an Amazon Exclusive offering) featuring Supergirl, Flash, Batman, Batman Flash, and General Zod. For a moment it was thought that this set would be the only way to get Supergirl, but the single-pack version eventually hit the shelves.

Time for some Group and Comparison Pics!

When I originally photographed this figure, she was the third cinematic DC lady in this 3.75 Spin Master line after Cyclone and Catwoman. I still like this photo because it shows how out-of-whack the scales are.

...but since then, they released a 4th, Mera.
From Left to Right: CycloneSupergirlMera, and Catwoman

And here is my Sasha Calle Supergirl collection so far:

Cheers!
