Transformers Movie - ARCEE!

Transformers (Movie) - Deluxe Class - Arcee (Standard Version) - Hasbro 2007

Transformers fans who are well-versed in the toys and IDW comics know the roller coaster story behind Arcee's role in the Transformers cinematic universe. When the first Transformers movie was coming out in 2007, Arcee was a planned character. She was featured in the toyline and comics with a very interesting design. I was a fan. It wasn't the ideal Arcee I was envisioning for her live-action (CGI) debut, but it fit the weird techno-organic robot-alien look of the early Bay-verse. Of course, she never appeared in the final cut of the movie. We didn't see her on-screen until 2009's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (in a confusing design that I would like to forget). In fact, it wasn't until 11 years after that original disappointing omission that we got a good cinematic Arcee in Bumblebee (2018). But luckily there was an amazing deluxe-scale action figure made of her original unused design. Plus several interesting color variants. I've been putting off these posts for far too long. Let's check out Arcee below!

All the graphics and schematics for this Arcee design show her wheels folded in and covering her upper arms like a shawl. I like this look a lot, but I wanted to give full turnrarounds above with the wheels out so you can see her torso and arms better.

Arcee's bike seat is her robot mode weapon.
When you insert the projectile, two wings pop out like crossbow arms.

This figure has light-piping with purple eyes. It requires a very strong light to achieve the effect.

Time for some Group and Comparison Pics!

Here are my four figures of this Arcee mold together. From Left to Right: Standard US release (2007)Black Japanese Release (2008)Wonder Festival Japan G1 Pink (2008), and the 3rd Party Machine Boy Carrol (2014).

Here are all the title thumbnails I made showing their backlit eyes and standard.

As a Comparison, here is the Wonder Festival G1 Colors version with Earthrise Arcee (2020) and the NYCC 2011 Prime Arcee.

Cheers!
